ASTYM® Therapy

ASTYM is a non invasive approach to treating soft tissue dysfunctions such as tendinopathies, arthrofibrosis, golfer’s and tennis elbow, as well as jumper’s knee to list just a few. This is a hands-on approach that requires the therapist to be certified in Astym therapy. Think about it as a more gentle regenerative approach to remodeling tissue. This tool augmented approach initiates an increase in blood flow and a breakdown of fibrotic tissue that in combination with the correct manual therapy and eccentric muscle training can enable the tissue to fully heal. The anticipated result is a return to full function, including weight bearing pain-free, exercise, or any work related function that may have been limited.
